A lot of the herbs and nutrients in this guide are naturally found in food, and can be absorbed through eating a balanced, organic, grass-fed diet (more on that here). However, with the stress, toxins, radiation, and energy we are exposed to in modern life, the smart solution often points toward supporting the body with nutrients we are naturally deficient in.

After struggling to recover from pharmaceutical drugs and feeling emotionally worse than I had my whole life, I grew to know supplements as a powerful form of support. The notion was foreign at first. I was used to spending my efforts making wholefoods the main source of healing and nutrition, and herbs in a traditional Ayurvedic approach. Connected to my understanding of the earth, I would use whole, unprocessed roots and herbal medicines like ashwagandha and mugwort, as food-based support.

The truth is, I needed something stronger. Before, I had lived a relatively relaxed lifestyle, but the intensity and stress of life eventually took a significant toll on my gut, nervous system, and overall health.

Through this experience, I’ve grown to learn that many people are deficient in essential nutrients, and that sustaining the high-energy, high-energetic-cost demands of a full and successful life often requires deeper support. To capitalise on our natural vitality, we must first recognise the conditions of life we exist in. There is no way that the technology and advancement we are exposed to in order to thrive in the modern world does not also require a more intelligent, mechanical approach to health.

This is a simple guide with a structure for sustaining essential nutrients, calming inflammation, detoxifying, and restoring strength — marrying ancient medicine with modern compounds to support the body through the demands of everyday life.
